Hello,

I have a HD 2003 XLH 883 Sporster with about 7000 miles on it. Recently,
I've noticed some oil drips/spots (I think its oil cause its dark and thick) on the engine case below the carburetor/air filter. I took the air filter cover off after a ride and there were a few drips of oil on the small device below the carburetor which is held in place by a black hose on either side. Other than that, I dont see any more drips anywhere.

Can anybody suggest what this may be, what else I could look for and possible 'fixes' for the issue.
