Default Don't settle for cheap parts!

A year ago, I bought a cam "kit" for my evo engine that included RevTech aluminum adjustable push rods. Well, on Saturday, about ten miles into a ride, my engine sputtered and lost power. Turned out that the rear exhaust valve pushrod had broken right up by the top. I never did find the broken off piece, hopefully, it fell out when I pulled the pushrod on the side of the road. I got a ride home and back with a steel adjustable, slapped it in and was back riding but it spoiled a nice day of riding.

The aluminum pushrods seem to have a fatigue life. They last a long time in Shovels (less spring pressure).

We used a few sets of those here many years ago.
Half of them failed.
We use nothing but S&S chrome-moly pushrods here anymore.
We don't even open the CCI catalog much any more.
