I use to own a 2003 Hertiage Classic Softtail with the third set of pipes being Vance and Hines. The sound was ghreat. Now I just purcahse a 2011 FLTK Limited with the 103 engine and before delivery I had Reinharts 4 inchers installed. The sound is not the same or not even near what I had on my old bike. Is it because of the new exhaust system that harley install?

 

The ft pipes have converters in them so the sound is a lot less. A friend has a streetglide that he put on new ft pipes and it sounds pretty good not as loud as my shortshots but they sound good
