Default Kuryakyn Hypercharger

Planning my mod's for my 2011 Fatboy. So far I have only decided on the V&H Big Raduis 2-1 exhaust. And am leaning towards the PC III/V

Now I am looking into the Air cleaners, style/look weighs as heavy as performance (I am only into the cruising/riding don't really need ultimate performance, but would like improvements over stock).

Does anyone have any experience with the Kuryakan Hypercharger line of air cleaners? Things I am looking for are:

Does it give a noticeable improvement?

How far does it stick out (will my leg be up against it?)

Are there other brands with similiar looks that are comparable?

Any other information that I should consider?

Thanks in advanced for the help.

I had one on my '06 stock 88 when I bought the bike (used). It did not stick out too far or get in the way. My bike is carbed, not efi. As far as improving performance, it's hard, at least for me, to say.The bike ran well with it on there and I have no negatives to report. When I did my 95 build, I switched to a SE stage 1 that I got on Ebay for $100. When it comes to intakes, there's no real data/math you can look for, like cams, for instance,at least as far as I know of. The general consensus seems to be that bigger is better and the look of the intake plays a big part in which one someone uses.

You will not find 1 kuryakyn air filter(and many other of their crap chrome) installed at my shop. Tiny screws that strip, fall out, cheezy vaccum fittings that can leak and break....etc...

Find something else. S/e or doherty are much better in quality.

+1 to that. The Hypercharger sticks way out and does nothing more than my S/E K&N. It would get in the way as I run my highway pegs inside my crash bars. But if it's your cup of tea...

Two things that you will never see on my bike, fat chicks and Kuryakin junk. There are a lot of great options for a free flow air cleaner. The Pro Charger isn't one of them.
