I'm facing the same issue. I have a 07 Heritage Classic BEGGING for new pipes. If you go to the Vance and Hines website, you can actually listen to each pipe. Pull up the sound wav's all together and compare one to another. I agree, the long shots seems deeper. But, after looking at the pic of those big radius', those look sick!! Hmm...I might have more research to do.

I have a buddy that has Screamin Eagle Stage 1 pipes and he said getting the bike dyno'd was WELL worth the money. So, whatever I do, it's going to be dyno'd right after.

i have big shots staggereds on my fxst. sound sweet. the longshots seem to crackle a little bit when the rpms are coming down.
