I still like the Crane, but I use the external module. The heat in the nosecone takes out the module. Or replace the nosecone module and run it until the heat finally takes out the replacement.

I have never had a problem with an externally mounted module. You will have to do some rewiring to fit the external one.

Harley mounted some Sportser ignitions in the nose cone and the same thing happens to those ignitions.

What model bike? Stock bikes will have a mount that supported the stock external module.

You will need a wiring harness that has a plug that the Crane pugs into. Crane supplies a harness.

its a 90 softtail.

found a test for ignition . using a test light ground test light and start bike with bike runing touch light to termanals on coil front cylender and rear. should get a flicker or pulsating on light. front cyclender flickers rear there just is a constant light tech says if a constant light igntion is toast .

im waiting on my budy om metter to test coil to rule it out

thanks again

1990 softail the stock ignition mount is under the seat on the frame cross member. There should be two well nuts there for mounting it.

Must have sent 50 or more Crane ignitions back over the years.
Damn things tune easy, and run great..................until they don't.
One thing that'll bugger those quicker that quick, is a poor ground.
