Default Wrapping Exhaust with black heat wrap

I am about to wrap my exhaust with black heat wrap. Anyone have any pics of a chrome exhaust and Black wrap? I am trying to cover up the blue on my pipes, they look terrible.

I know what you are saying I like the look of the tape also but I think it looks the best on bikes of that era(boober) I wouldn't put it on my fat-boy unless I went totally old school.

anyone know how long the black color will last on the wrap? I am also considering painting them black. I already bought the black wrap, but not too sure after seeing a few pics after only 6,000 miles???????

i had an indy do mine when he put the pipe on...and he used the cheap chit from pep-boys
thats why it faded so quickly. i have some stuff from d.e.i that is a bit thicker that comes natural tan color and also comes with a can of hi-heat silicone paint [2000 degree]...black of course and stainless zip-ties

http://designengineering.com/products.asp?m=sp&pid=55

i'm gonna let the faded stuff stay til it gets too cold to ride...then the winter projects start-and this is definately one of them

There is a special heat resistant paint (rattle can) that you apply, which drastically assists in maintaining that black look
