Ok so i have just bought a 2001 dyna superglide, it has 3k origional miles. Here is my issue, the bike just had a full tune up oil, the trans, all of it. I have noticed that the back cylender has a slight tapping or tickeing noise comeing from the top end on the left side. Now its not loud by no means you have to put your head next to it to hear it,though now that i notice it thats all i notice. Im wanting to know if this is normal or is there a problem. The motor is completely stock, nothing done to it. Im new to harleys so im not sure about the noises they make.
You say you have to put your head down near the engine to hear the ticking???
Definately nothing to worry about. Its funny, seems like mine will make a different sound after every oil change. Old sounds will disappear and new ones will appear to take their place.
Well now that i notice it, if i am wearing a full faced helmet i can hear it on the freeway. It just sound like tag tack tag tack. Sorry for the bad sounding but thats what its sound like.
