Hard to tell what engine you are running.
My stock EVO runs great on 89 and no different on 91. BUT I only run 76, Chevron, Texaco or Citgo.
NEVER Arco, Thrifty, or Shell. My EFI bikes use to cut out and shut down on those, too much alchohol and crappy additives, so I don't run them in my carb bike either.

I run the highest octane I can get at the pump. I have run about 10 gallons of 110 race gas through the bike though. I had some extra sitting in the car trailer and wanted to see what it would do. At 60mph it felt soother, but over 60 it felt more sluggish. While sitting at a stop light though it smells good.
Oh and since I get my race gas at $3.50 a gallon it wasn't much more $ at the time gas was at it's peak $ around here. The Dealer selling it at $10 a gallon is really ripping you off.

I have noticed that as gas prices increased the spread between the different grades did not. Typically there is only a 10 cent difference between grades. I think anyone riding a Harley should buy only at gas stations with a good national reputation and get the best gas they have. At 40 to 50 Miles per gallon the additional cost is not enough to worry about.
