TC 88 to 95
Have an 06 softtail TC 88 with SE hi flow intake and slipons.Ride two up all the time and would like more jam..Going to rebore to 95 and wondering if there is much difference between andrews26g cams and s&s510s?? Going with stock pushrods and roller lifters..Anyone got this combo and what comments??

I'm not an expert, bit I believe the 26 is more suited to a touring bike. That's what I have on my bike, the 26gg with the 95 kit. My BIL has the 510 in his softie with stock bore and it runs like a raped ape. Mine has great roll-on at 50-75 mph. Check the info as far as rpm power range and which suits your style of riding. Either one will put a big grin on your face.

Just bore to 98", and cc/surface to equalize chambers, and a performance valve job.
10 cube increase, and compression set at 9.65-7 for that cam.
This combo was just sent to our tuner, www.joescyclerepair, and prior to going there, we checked it on our Dynojet 150(carb dyno) 90 hp, and 107 ft/lbs, untuned.

Take what the manufacturers say of their cams with a large pinch of salt! When reading the advertising look at the next less attractive one, as that will probably do what you're after!
Take a look over in the Softail Forum, as not many HDF members call in here. They will probably have covered cams in much greater depth over there.
Added later: Scott just posted above - or you could just pick up the phone.....

95" and 26's is a very popular mild build. Lately most have been opting for the se cam plate, hydraulic tensioner with improved oil pump setup rather then gears. With your 06 heads, also check out Andrews cam plate setup and the newer 48n's. The Andrews kit upgrades both cam chains. Also call herko. He sells a compete setup with cams and newer style cam plate tensioners. Not trying to derail you. Just mentioning other options you may not be aware of.

I have the 95" with andrews 26 cams and stock heads on my bike now. See my signature for the details. I had a set of 2010 heads street ported by Big Boyz and milled to get me to 9.6:1 compression which is where those cams are suppose to be best. When the heads go on I will be using a -.030 cometics gasket and adjustable push rods. With my stock heads I was able to use the stock pushrods. The 26 cams are not going to win you any bragging rights but I feel the power is in the range where you mostly ride. It comes on early and is good through at least 4500 rpms. I don't have a tach so I'm going by my dyno sheet and seat of the pants. I ride solo most of the time maybe 80%. Hope that helps.
