2011 Road King Classic
Just upgraded last week from my 07 1200 XLC to a 2011 Road King Classic with the 103. On my sporty I ran V&H slip ons, stock headers, SE Stage 1 kit, and a fuelpak. Did all the work myself and it ran great.
So of course I'm already looking at doing stage 1 work on the new RKC, but after reading some posts in this forum regarding piggyback devices such as the PC and Fuelpak I may need/want to rethink my decisions. What I had planned on putting on the RKC was, V&H Monster Ovals or Rounds (if I wasn't hooked on the dual look I'd get a pro pipe), Hypercharger, and PCV and keep the stock headers.
I want the most out of my gear so after reading the posts it seems like I shouldn't piggy back with the fuel control unit and get something that writes straight to the ECM. Also any pros/cons for the hypercharger or monsters? I've also been considering something by Roland Sands or Doherty for the air cleaner as well as the SE Heavy Breather. I'll be doing the work myself.
