Default Should I upgrade to a billet Cam plate with High Volume Oil Pump

Hello all I have decided I want to upgrade my stock oil pump. I bought one of the v-factor high volume oil pumps. Now I am contemplating the billet cam support plate as well. To give you some back ground I have an 04 ultra classic with an Axtell 97" big bore kit. I also have the S&S 510 gear drive cam set up. I'm perfectly fine with the amount of power I have, love the way it rides. I'm just trying to cool the motor off some. It doesn't take it long at all sitting in traffic to get really hot. I had it dyno tuned with the SERT and I installed an oil cooler with the big sky fan kit. That helped but I still think it could be better. Anyway my biggest concern about going to the billet plate is that I think I need the added oil pressure at idle. Wouldn't using the billet plate with larger oil passages lower the pressure? While I'm asking should I use the Baisley oil pressure spring? Also if I did go with the billet plate how much more work is there in transferring the gear drive cams?
Sorry so long winded any advice or opinions would be appreciated

If you are just looking to cool it down in traffic, I would install a Lenale Fan. Works great on mine.

Does your new oil pump have the early bolt pattern or the late? You may want to use it with the stock plate if it's early, the Baisley spring would probably be over kill with that pump.

In comparing the new oil pump with a picture I found in the service manual the bolt patterns of my new pump looks the same as the picture. The caption on the high volume Oil Pump stated for use in 99-06 TC 88 motors. However in the caption for the billet cam plate they reference the oil pump I bought. I think I may just install it with the stock plate and take rob's advice and install a LeNale fan. Really all I want is a little more oil movement when I'm sitting at idle for more than a few minutes.
Thanks for the replies

The later high volume oil pumps will not retrofit to the early cam plates. The early pumps sealed to the cam plate with an o-ring; the later models do not. I am talking OEM pumps and plates, not aftermarket. If you want to use the high volume pump, the bllet plate is the ony option. The later OEM plate will require conversion cams.
