Flash? Tuner? Stage 1? Stage 2? Help
I have a 2007 FLSTC and am wanting to bump up the power but can't seem to get a consistent recommendation from the multiple HD Dealers nearby.
I added a set of Samson BG3 exhausts and really like the sound and IMO it seems like there is a slight increase in HP. My big question is what next?
One dealer is recommending a stage 2 upgrade with a new intake, race tuner and Dyno. According to this guy this option is the step just before the big bore upgrade (that I don't want). He quoted me about $1000 which seems pretty reasonable.
The other dealer is telling me that this is not a stage 2 upgrade and that I should just get a new intake and re-flash the comp. He quoted me about $500.
Both are telling me that the change they are suggesting should give me a bump of about 10%. I'm not an expert but I know that they both aren't right. I tend to think the first option is the best but I'm looking for more advise.
It sure would be nice to get some level of consistency from the perceived experts.

You will feel a nice improvement with hi flo filter and tune - or even just a dealer flash or Power Commander and canned map. Lots of ways to get their. Tune is best, but most expensive. Flash is like $150. Tune you need another device and dyno time which runs in the hundreds. Most get a Power Commander and use a canned map from Fuel Moto which costs somewhere in between those two. And, if you ever cam the bike then you already have a tuning device and can either get another map or get it dyno tuned.
