Request for Python 2-1 Exhaust opinions
I have Samson Street Sweepers on my Night Train right now. I like the pipes, but every since I put in the S & S 510 gear driven cams, the exhaust note is a bit more shrill. I am looking better performance and a lower (deeper) exhaust note. I considering the Pythons because I like the way they look and they seem to be a nice pipe (made by VH). Any opinions? Thanks, Dennis

If similar to the V&H ProPipe HS, in a word, sweet! The 2-1 look had to grow with me, and now it is there. Anyone in the know, knows the pipe, performance wise, means business. Under acceleration there is an authoritative bark. I like the exhaust note most at idle, and at cruise. Deep and low, the way it should be.

You may want to consider the Supertrapp exhaust systems. I put the 2:1 on my '05 XL1200R to replace the SEIIs and cut the noise level down a bit. The SEIIs were too loud! The Supertrapp system is tuneable which is nice if you plan future performance mods.

Thanks Phil... but one of my concerns is that the Python might be too quiet. I like (and believe) in loud pipes (save lives) and I definitely do not want a quiet pipe. I do not need a pipe as obnoxious as my street sweepers, but I definitely like loud!

RE: Request for Python 2-1 Exhaust opinions
I was going to start a thread about 2into 1 exhausts but seen this thread instead so here goes. I have a 2004 XL1200R and first considered SEII's but thought a 2-1 would perform better. I got a few names on pipes: Python, Supertrapp and Bassani. I like the looks of the Pythons best but I would like to know about sound, performance and tuneability of all three including the SEII's. Who's the best?
