Default Thunder Headers and Forward Controls

Wondering if you can install forward controls on an 07 Dyna Street Bob if you have 2-1 Thunder Headers installed. I haven't been able to find any information. Thanks....

According to my dennis kirk catalog a thunderheader for 06-09 dyna models fit all. So my answer would be yes. I have forwards on my softail with a thunderheader.

I think the 1031 is for the 06-10, and it works fine with my mid-controls and hwy pegs.

I have a 09 Fat bob with thinderheader, my foward controls work great with it. Just one problem, my right shoe on the heal keeps geeting burnt. I recamend wrapping them and if you do get the wrap you will need to get two kits.
Just got done wrapping mine. Ran about 10 feet short on wrap do to only having one wrap kit. But at least my shoes wont get burned anymore.

One more thing I will be getting the mid controls to put on, and yes they will fit.

A friend of mine had the same problem with his thunder header but he took it in and had it coated with a high temp powder coat and hasn't had a problem with melting his boot since. I just did mine this year and it really helped with the temp of the pipe. Plus is looks a lot better as the factory black coating starts to look bad after the first year.

Thanks for the info guys. I was thinking about wrapping the pipes to keep down the heat and reduce cavitation as well. Great idea about having the high temp powder coating done first. That way I can avoid complaining about the paint job on the Thunder Header for years to come.
