NEED HELP Big radius vs rush slip ons!
Alright, now I really need help from those of you with exhaust experience. In my garage sitting next to my 2010 wg I've got 4 boxes. In one are rush slip ons 1.5 in another are 2.0 baffles for the rush. The 3rd are V&H big radius 2 into 2 and inthe final box are smartparts quiet baffles. I don't wanna start installing stuff without knowing what's gonna happen. I want some sound but what I've heard is the V&H are way too loud. Any suggestions?

Your right when you say the v&h are loud. There great if you want to wake everyone up. The rush slipons are a good alternative. There are alot more questions to ask before you putting on an exhuast. If you only plan on doing the exhaust so it sounds like a harley then go with the rush slipons. If you go with full exhaust system you will need to do a fuel managment of some sort.

Thanks pontiac...I've got an ultimate plan that seems to be changing constantly. If I go slip ons under 2.0 then I'm going to wait a bit. If I go bigger I'll do a download at the dealership. they owe me and it'll be free. As well the SE stage one intake. If I do go with the big radius, I'm going with SE stage one, and fuelpak. I'm just trying to keep from changing things ten times in the next month.

I was in the same situation. I put Rush 1.75 slip-ons on my 2008 Fatbob. The sound was good, the 2.0s are going to be louder. I wanted a different look so I went with the Big radius in black to go with the black motor. What I did was to cut the original baffles in half, I the bought a set of BCT QQ baffles and installed the QQs in the big radius pipes then I stacked the cut-off V&H baffles behind them. This set up is louder than the Rush. but a better sound. I also run a PC-v from Fuel-moto and a SE heavy breather. The slip-ons seem to be a stepping stone to a full exhaust which works because you can run them and still sell them after for not a big loss. The BR pipes will change the look from the tommy gun, but it seems a cleaner look. In my opinion go with the BR full exhaust, intake and a fuel management the bike will pep up!! Mike
