Rush Customer Service - Above & Beyond
A month or so ago I bought a set of Rush slipons with the 2" baffles. They had a great sound but were a little loud for me, so I switched the baffles out for the 1.5" baffles. The tech apparently had a big problem getting the old baffles out, and more or less trashed one in the process.
The 1.5" were too quiet, so I ordered the 1.75" baffles, which were perfect. However, the 1.5" baffles were also nearly impossible to remove, and the new ones a major hassle to install. These are, after all, supposed to be easily exchangeable.
I wrote a polite, detailed e-mail to Rush customer support explaning the problem on Saturday. This morning (Monday) I recieved the following reply:
Philip
I am truly sorry for the problems that you have had.
The baffles are designed to fit tight so as not to rattle
from heat expansion and contraction, that is why they
need a little tap to seat them. They do not however, need
to be pounded into place.
I would be happy to send you a new set of mufflers with
the 1 3/4 baffles and send you a return shipping label so
you can drop the old mufflers off at Fed-X or a Kinko copy
place to be returned to us for inspection.
We take our quality very seriously, and if there is a problem
we need to fix it.
Please provide a shipping address.

Who said customer service is dead? I strongly recommend Rush, not only because they make a great product (see other threads) but also because they stand strongly behind it. Rush is the real deal.

RE: Rush Customer Service - Above & Beyond
I had a similar experience. I (my dealer) ordered a set w/2" baffles. After installing the mufflers I found them to be much louder than my first set. When I caller RUSH they asked me to check something with the baffle. Upon inspection I found the baffle was the 2 1/2" instead of the 2" which was ordered. The carton from RUSH had the correct part # but the mufflers had the wrong size baffle. I spoke with RUSH and told them what I found. Their response was "I will get the correct baffles out to you right away, sorry for the screw-up". It takes a good company to admit they screwed-up and fix the problem. Hats off to RUSH!!
