Default low hp high torque

Have a 2010 roadglide with 575 cams, bigger valves & headwork, 58mm tb, hd heavy breather, 10:1, d & d fatcats, heavy duty clutch spring. nice torque curve max 127, low hp max 105 and starts dropping off after 5k. All work done by very reputable shop. crappy fuel mileage (35). Pipes too small 1 3/4" or should I have put boarzilla 2"? Or was it the .024 gap I found on the autolites? Or just sloppy tuning? Going back to this shop soon and want some ammo. Thinking pipes are too small.

I wouldn't call your mpg all that crappy for your build as you've probably been on the throttle a little. .024 gap on the plugs is way to small imho. Try one step colder plugs
at .040. Autolite 4163, NGK DCPR8E.

Oh, and do what Scott says.

What exactly are you unhappy about? You've got a big torque number and a decent power number. If you want it to rev strong beyond 5k it could simply be that you got what you asked for, and now you have it, you want more? Be nice to the shop and talk things through sensibly. Sounds to me like a reputable shop did a good job!

I agree that it sounds like a powerful build.
Wes Browns .575 cam??
Don't know the spec's, but maybe it's showing all it's cards via pounding the torque way up, and is not an hp cam.
Do you have the specs for all of us to look at??

your builder probably will reccomend the 2" headers to match the incoming flow that you now are producing. On the dyno sheet your hp will come up but the tq might start at a lower spot. Then at tuning he can raise the rev limit if needed to squeek out what your looking for. I myself like tq and for the street could care less about hp. My build gave me 114 tq and 95 hp. and I love it. My buddy with his v-rod cant catch me untill we are at 80 mph plus. I short shift and leave him in the roll ons , his tea kettle takes time to build steam. tq is bam and then your off to the races.
