look at the timing mark on the cam gear. cam gear mark at 5:00 position rear cyl is both valves closed. cam gear at the 1:00 position front cyl is both closed. move the crankshaft all you want. your new gear set will only line up one way. when you go to re-installl rockers, use the marks as mentioned. hope this helps...steve
