Default Cams and Head work (your opinion)

I have a 2007 Street Glide with 30k on it and got the bike at the shop now for some motor work
Already have stage one, tunner, intake and pipes ( Rinhart from heads back )
Thinking about
Bore to 103 c.i.
Port and polish heads
Cams (looking at the S&S EZ start 583 cams ) gear driven if TIR is within .002 other wise back to chain
Hi Volume oil pump
New cam plate support (I beleave its the up grade screeming eagle )

Any imfo or advise would be appr.

You already have the high voluum oil pump. Came that way with all 07 up BT,and also 06 Daynas.

With that cam the stock single row chain is more that good enough.

I run the TW400-6 with the stock cam plate, there is no reason not to. The plain bearing on the cam plate is dependant on oil pressure and film strength, no matter the metal.

Add the Biesley oil pressure spring to your stock cam plate. More pressure will help.

Here is a GREAT combo, for that touring bike.
Bore to 107"(our proprietary Wiseco piston kit)
Wood 555 cams
Full Torrington or Sonnax cam bearings
Our Stage II, or III Heads
S&S pushrods
Barnett clutch spring
Recent tuning by Fuel Moto(site sponsor, great guys btw, and their dyno report is located in Touring section) has shown this combo running at 109 hp and 127 ft/lbs, torque all in by 3400 rpms.
More would be on tap with a larger t/body, and a good 2/1 pipe, no doubt.
Other tuning centers are seeing similar results as well.
Forget the cam plate/pump stuff.
Out of the day-in, day-out build-after-build here, we have only installed 3 cam plates other than OE, and those were upon client request.
Keep your money in your wallet.
Scott
