Default New bassanis road rages

Installed 2-1 Road rages, SE A/C and PCIII I would recommend this highly as a great package.

The sound is deep, they look great and they are as good a 2-1 system as you can get. The only other I was consdering was thunderheaders which are close, but not quite bassani's.

Heres a picture:

Jigman,

I'm trying to order a set of 2-1 black road rage. The shop that works on my bike tells me that bassanis won't take orders from him for just 1 set of pipes, that he has to order 2 sets. Did you have this problem, how did you acquire your pipes.

You also mentioned that the Thunderheaders are close, but not quite bassani's. What do you mean by close, where's the difference? I was also considering the Thunderheaders, had them on my last bike, but I like the look of the black road rage.

Can you tell me the difference in sound between the Thunderheaders and Road rage, I know the Thunderheaders are also deep? Also what year is your bike? Mine is an 07 and I'm wondering if your set-up would work for mine.

Thanks,

Hollywood

Appologies in advance, if this is a totally stupid question....

I was looking at the picture of your bike, with the new RR installed. Is it possible that the heat shield is installed backwards? It kinda looks like that flat surface that is pointing towards the rear should cover the pipes as the go into the collector and that round open bend towards the front should wrap around the muffler / megaphone thingamajigger...???...

Could be "on crack", but looks suspecious too me....

Oh yea... It wouldn't be me if I didn't say..... D&D!

Yes thge heat shoield was on backwards...how stupid...I was tired, whatever.
Here it is on correctly
Also Thunderheaders 2-1"s dont sound as deep and gutteral as bassani 2-1's. They are just as loud though...but a bit more obnoxious sounding than the road rages. Funny, the PcIII download I used was for the Thunderheader 2-1 stock ECM and SE AC it is working fine but I'm gonna get it on the dyno in 2 weeks

I had absolutely no trouble ordering the bassani's from north county customs in CA. Called them up and had the pipes on my doorstep in 3 days. Nobody mentioned any supply issues whatsoever. Call them at 866-439-4287 and ask them. They are one of the top dealers for bassani in the west.

Jigman,

Thanks, the road rage sound you described is exactly what I'm looking for, deep, load, but not as obnoxious. Now I'm being told that the black road rage won't be available for a few more weeks for 07 bikes. Guess I'll have to wait. Thanks again, your description has been very helpful.
