Default Twin cam parts interchangability

i have a twin cam (B) series engine almost complete. i am looking at building a (A) series engine. what all parts will swap from the (B) series to the (A) series. bought as salvage parts bike and wanting to put it in a evo style frame.

Short answer is yes but not all; post a list of the parts you want to use from the B motor on the A motor. Like truk says, years will make a difference.

It is a 2005 fatboy. i know that from the jugs up will fit. i want to know if the crank, cam plate ect

Repeat, what year is the A and what year is the B? Are both 88"ers?

Sorry the B is a 2005 the A will aftermarket cases like S&S or delkron. i cant seem to find b cases anywhere but harley.

As you probably know, the B motor crank has the balance system drive sprocket press fit onto the shaft. I don't know anything about S&S or Delkron cases but the B camplate and crank would work in H-D cases. I would remove the balancer system drive sprocket in the A configuration. By using the '05 crank assembly, you would have to use the pre '07 primary drive components. Sounds like you are planning to build a performance motor, in which case, while you have the crank out, you should consider true/balance/weld and any thing else Hoban Brothers might tell you the crank/wheels need before put back into service.
