Default Spin balance versus static balance

Is it possible for spin balance find a problem that static balance might miss?
Thanks

I'm sorry, I should have mentioned I'm referring to the motor not wheels.
Thanks

I had mine spun balanced and welded by R&R. Cannot say one is better than another, but I, personally, liked the idea of having the whole rotating assembly balanced as opposed to each individual piece.

BTW.... its smooth as glass.

When S&S started to spin(dynamic) balance their flywheels years ago, they stated that it was for a quicker process.
They also stated that the static process, when following their dedicated worksheet instructions, is a VERY accurate method indeed.
We static balance here using S&S tooling,(1999-earlier) and have for years.
Clients alert us as to how smooth the engine is.

Nomatter the procedure

Using S%S data from about 1000 + runs or a dynamatic run is the way to go.

Once when I was young I built a 427 BB Corvette engine. balacned and all.

When done, somebody could sit in the drivers seat (the Wife) and run the thing up to 6000 RPM ON the driveway in neutral.

Put your hands on the hood and seemed as if is wasn't even running---Dead Smooth. Water beads still as morning dew.

Been a absolute believer for 40 years---Balance the Crank and Rotating parts, if at all poissible.

With a HD---If splitting the cases.
