That Wood 8 needs 10.75 to be effective, and as long as the heads flow about 155 cfm @ 10", it'll go like a scalded cat!!

I was hoping for a reply from you. Don't want to go over 10:1 beacause of the E-10 gasohol here in Hawaii, so what cam would work best at 10:1? What about roller rockers? Think I'm ok without? Really want to run a Wood cam.

T,
The Wood 6 cam is right at home at 10.0 cr, but optimum would be 10.25-3 here.
Some folks will push that to 10.5, but we feel that is a tick too much.
No rollers are needed with that cam.

Thanks for the replies Scott. Would that be the Wood TW6HG at .590? I am going to run gear drive.

The Wood TW-6G, .510" lift.
With the 6H, rollers should be used.

After thinking over that last reply I have to make something clear and ask again to Scott. The .510 lift of the TW6G seems low. I am going to run with Stage 2 heads and have not finalized comp. ratio yet. Can I run higher than 10:1 with E-10 gasohol and go with something like a .590 lft cam? You see the pic of my bike, I ride solo and weigh 210lbs and the bike is 630lb with a full tank. I want to hall *** between 0 and 100.

Trex,
Do not let the low-lift numbers have you believe that cam is under powered.
Have you taken a look at the Wood TW-408-48??
Another low-lift powerhouse, but needs a tick more compression.
