the 96" is a "stroker" - longer stroke than the 88.

The 95" kit for the 88 is "bored"--- larger ( wider diameter) pistons, and cylinders bored out

The 103" is the same bored out kit ( sorta) on the 96" stroker.

The 95" kit is all figured out and with some headwork and matched gear drive cams you could have a really great running reliable bike.

Best to find a shop who offers a "package" in which all the components are known to complement each other.

The 96" piston/cylinder kit (same diameter piston you have except the wrist pin location is not applicable for your 4" stroke) will allow you to use those cylinders to bore, while your still able to ride.
But that said, we usually side-step the 95", and go to 98" with our pistons that Wiseco manufactures for us.
With that bore increase, and with our Stage II Heads, along with an Andrews chain driven cam(26 or 37, less expensive than our favorite Wood cams) the power from off idle-out will have you grinning.
The dollar/hp ratio, is about as good as it gets.
We just complete a 107" for a client from Brooklyn, as we are up here between Utica, and Syracuse, and 10 miles north of Colgate University.
Happy to help any way we can.

I went with the Automotive Machine kit and was very happy. They port your heads and redo valves and bore your jugs and supply new pistons, rings, gaskets. Quick turnaround with your parts or they will do a swap.

Great service and helpful.
