Fuel tank issues

Fuel tank issues
I've had some rust in my tank and it was pretty bad. It's pretty well cleaned out, but I think I need to reseal it. Does anyone have any experience with sealing their tank? I'm considering the kit from KBS. Does anyone have any experience with this kit? I've heard horror storys about tank sealers pealing and clogging petcocks, and fuel filters/lines.

Also, I need a new petcock. Any thoughts as to buying an OEM petcock vs. a Pingel? Does either have an advantage over the other?
Thanks,
mikebaby

to clean it out, throw in a handful of nuts, bolts and washers -count them as they go in.
swirl around...lots ( wear ear plugs)
count the parts as they come out.
If you can pressure test the tank ( to check for pin holes).
Seal the openings, I have a radiator tester, with adapters to pump up the tank to 15 or 20 pounds.
submerge
look for leaks.
if Pass seal- some use kreem
if fail, go shopping.
I have had seeming sound tanks, be swiss cheese under the paint
I fixed one with JB weld ( on the hidden surface near the frame).
Stock petcock is fine for average motor- Pingels are good and required for very HiPo motor, but $80 vs $15 at a swap.
