Anybody seen or used one of these ? they " claim " a 9hp. and 4ft.-lbs. of torque gain.

I have one...it is beautifully machined! As far as a performance increase, I think the numbers reflect the change from the stock AC and jetting. If you like the round air cleaner look, it is very nice.

Or you can do what I and others on this forum from which I have copied have done and use one of the HD trim inserts itself as the air cleaner cover and save a lot of $[&:] See my sig pic below.

Hey, Dawg, you ever get caught in the rain with your filter exposed like that? Any issues, like did your bike suck water? I've got a Ness big sucker and want to set it up like that, but am afraid of what will happen in a rainstorm.

I either bring my stock football cover with me on out of state weekend rides, or if I know it's going to rain and I will be on the bike then I will change it out prior. However, having said that...I went to the Cape this weekend in MA and forgot the cover. I got stuck in a storm and it ran fine until a couple hours after when I was leaving a restaurant it sputtered and stalled and I almost flooded it trying to get it started. When it did start I think I was only running on one cylinder and the check engine light was on the whole way and I had to rev it and blow through stop signs to keep from stalling. I made it back to the beach house and the next day it was fine. It's a good trade off I think for the look to just throw the stock cover in the saddlebag with the tool kit. It only takes a minute to change it out.

Thanks. Guess I'll carry the stock cover with in the saddlebag for emergencies, then.

Dawg,

I have what is probably a stupid question, but how do you attach that cover to the filter without the hole in the center, or is it hidden under the medalion?

Dewey's definitely does some nice billet work. I have one of his hammer heel shifters on my FXD and it works as good as it looks. As far as the a/c mount, it probably mounts like this one, a 5-pointed bracket that bolts through the center of the a/c and then the insert bolts to the bracket with 5 smaller chromed screws.

That makes sense, thanks.
