I have used AMSOIL since my motor was new . Now 34K. It looks like it spun a bearing. Now I am haveing my douts about the stuff( snake oil) maybe. I think I am going to go back to every 2500 miles and change it with regular 20-50 .

If you have changed the oil regularly and not beaten the engine to death, it is highly unlikely that it is an oiling issue.

And yes, you have poked a hornets nest, many are devoutly dedicated to a certain oil and will defend it to death. (I don't use Amsoil by the way)

Looks like he dropped that cam in snot mixed with dirt after he pulled it out. If that's what it looked like and he didn't drop it in the dirt..........I'd would think the problem doesn't lie with his oil choice.

Looks just like my cam after the cheap MoCo bearing failed. Nothing to do with the oil, IMHO.
