RE: Sound posting of exhaust systems!!!!
Hope this link works. I took this clip with my digital camera, so it doesn't really do the bike justice. Let me know what you think.

RE: Sound posting of exhaust systems!!!!
I just recorded my exhaust before and after I installed lollipops. The one thing I noticed when I played the recording on my TV, was the exhaust didn't sound as loud as it does live. I watched/ listened to the tape a few times and thought it sounded a lot quieter, so I went out and started the bike. It sounds a lot louder than the recording.
I was wondering if the owners that have posted their recordings think it sounds the same on the recording?

Sounds real good. Are you using baffles or are they straight through drag pipes? Does your exhaust sound louder live, than on tape?

Thanks for the compliment.
Have you read the post by "pococj" in the top section of the exhaust forum. It is called Drag Pipe How-To.
Do you have flat spots or loss of power at lower RPMs from running no baffles? My Fat Boy SE was race tuned by the previous owner . There is no loss of power or flat spots from my lack of back pressure, from no baffles, that I can feel seat of pants wise.
My exhaust is very loud so I am trying to experiment using the Drag Pipe How-To post to see if I can knock a few decimals off the exhaust volume. I know that is not the intent of the post but, I figure by adding anything to alter/restrict the exhaust flow should quiet it just a bit. It will still be louder than the average HD with after market exhaust, but now it is way too loud
I fabbed and installed the lollipops yesterday. It is raining today so I can't take it for a test drive. I also ordered (2) copper 1- 1/2" to 1" pipe reducers from a plumber supply place yesterday. My biggest concern is my bike runs so good now that by adding these additional items it may hurt the performance. The fortunate thing is it doesn't cost hardly anything for these exhaust mods and if they don't work I can throw them away.
