few videos of fishtails
First one was the stock 2 into 1 into 2 headers with the Samson 32" slip on
mufflers, no baffles, but one bolt through the pipe and then 3" diameter
with muffler packing around the sides.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5BNh3F_eWCA
Second video is my true dual headers 2 into 2 with the same 32" fishtail
mufflers
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lnZLztCc1Y8
I didn't bother making a video of the true duals with straight 33"
fishtails....it was horrible.
I mounted 4" baffles mid way where the slip ons meet the headers...it's much
better now, but still very loud. I might need 10" baffles like they
recommended to me.

Hey guys, I have a 07 Softail and I just put Vanes & Hines Short Shots on it Monday. Will the bike be ok if I do a STAGE 1 download and a High flow Air Filter!? Or is there truth to the dealer speal of 3 hours of dyno time and adjusting the parameters. A hd mechanic told me they are just trying to screw me and do the STAGE 1 & filter and it'll be cool!

I'm running V&H true duals with thunderheader muffs,SE air cleaner and PC III
This is also a test run so bear with me.Vid is grainy and the sound is mediocre but i think its apretty cool idea to post this, let me know what you guys think.
Photobucket is the shiznit, makes pics and vid posting easy.just load them to photobucket then right click on the file you want.hit copy and in your hdf message, for the vids hit the link button, then next to url right click and hit paste and for pics just hit the image tab and copy/paste the url between the boxes and thats it!
I did a walk around so you can hear them at idle from all sides,i'll post a ride'n a-way one soon!
I did this with the record function on my digital camera!!!So lets get some contributions up on this thread!

Custom mod on on stock pipes - '07 Dyna
My bike is a '07 Dyna Street Bob.
I'm a mechanical engineer in Italy and we work for many car racing teams. Ferrari, Lamborghini, BMW and many other super sport or racing cars. Look at the site: http://www.lamarmitta.it
I've projected this stock exhaust mod with a 3 stage baffle.
There's everything inside, high pitch noise cut, noise reducer, wall for back pressure.
Here some pictures of the same done on a '04 XL1200C: http://www.lamarmitta.it/component/o...,11/catid,213/
The exhaust has been studied with a 2:1 ratio between the center pipe area and the holes area the gas has to pass thru to walk around the wall. It means when the gas in the 1,3/4" diameter holed pipe, find a wall for back pressure, they have double the area to pass into another chamber.
This is an important rule to have a big twin's exhaust baffle that flows and performs like a direct flow racing baffle used on sport bikes.
Great power gain, not abnoxious sound. Deep thundering, throaty.
Listen with a good speakers the audio in this video, it's not an artifact of the microphone used to record, there's a bit of distortion but they really sound so deep and thundering, near the bike or driving it you can feel with your body the deepness of the low frequences produced by the pipes. The same deepness of the bigger cans of a touring bike, made by two tapered pipes of a Dyna:
