Default Heritage classic Get Y-pipe or true duals?

I recently bought an 2005 EFI Heritage Classic- Its all stock. I want to put on dual ,(both sides), fishtail exahust but I'm not sure which way to go. I'm looking at either getting the HD header pipe that is stock on Springers or just going to the Sampson True Duals. I think I if get the HD pipe and then buy some fishtail mufflers I will get better performance than the true duals- correct? The problem with going with the HD pipe is - a considerable expense. MSRP $600 + the mufflers. At the same time I don't want to be dissapointed w/ Sampson true duals. Either way I go, I'll be adding a PCIII and the SE airfilter.
Thoughts?

I SUGGEST YOU STAY AWAY FROM SAMSON. THEY ARE LOW QUALITY.
