WOW this is great!
On a stock case how much needs to be taken off to accomodate a 124 CI cylinder?
On the new case mentioned how much needs to be taken off to accomodate a 124 CI cylinder
Who can tell me how much surface space I actualley need to keep the cylinders from weeping?
If I use the stock cases, and bore them how much flat surface space will be left?
If I use the new cases mentioned and not have them bored, how much flat surface space will be left? If I need to bore the new case more, how much will it need to be bored and then how much space will be left to mount the gaskets.
I think with the use of O Ring gaskets and Flat Gaskets in addtion to crank and head relief valves, the risk of seepage is small.
Thanks for the info Wurk. I'll take the suggestion and run with it..

Scott,
Will the new cases Mentor mentioned handle a 4.250"(4 1/4) bore without the possibility of having the cylinders weep or having the case expierence a stress fracture?
If not, I need a larger case, one that is bare as I have all the guts on order and or paid for, a case withmore meat. Any recommendations?
I know about S&S R&R and Delkron, I am not enthused about paying another $2000. I'll spend it but only if I have too.
This issue is causing the hair on the back of my neck to stand up and raise serious doubts it's starting to kind of suck.
