2006 Road King
Installed SE cam plate, oil pump, new cams and bearings. No oil pressure? Has this happened to any one. Pulled the motor apart again and I see nothing wrong other than the pump is not picking up oil!

 

All o-rings in place and the oil pump gears, spacers, and spring installed in the correct order?

 

Oil pump assembly from bottom of cup (pump body) up is, thick scavenge gears, solid washer, wavy washer, solid washer and thin scavenge gears, a very common mistake is to cap the oil pump with one of the solid washers

 

Just a update on this issue. The local Harley shop had the same problem it seems to be in the machining of the plate. From the manufacture the oil relief valve is hanging up and will not close alowing the oil to blow by. Last night I spent about a hour cleaning away bures in the bore of the cylinder untill it moved freely. Reinstalled the plate and pump. I now have oil pressure. To any one who is installing one of the SE plates save your self alot of time and pull the two allan plugs on the bottom of the plate to check the relief valve befor you install it!!!!!!!!!!!!
