Road King sputters at 70mph
Hi....
Has anyone experienced this problem? I have a '98 RoadKing with a Mikuni carb. I bought it used and the Mikuni carb came with it so I don't know how many miles are on the carb itself, but the bike has pretty low milage for it's age anyway... about 21,000.
When I get on the freeway and accelerate, right around 65-75 mph it starts sputtering like it's not getting gas properly. If I ease off the throttle just a little bit it stops but if I accelerate again it starts sputtering again. It just had it's 20,000 mile tune up at the dealership. It was doing this before the tuneup and is still doing it now. I've tried running SeaFoam through it which didn't really seem to help. It only does it at that speed, runs fine everywhere else.
Any thoughts?
Thanks
Kim
