Default SE II mufflers vs. SE Street Performance

HI,
Just wondering if anyone had some input on the performance comparison between the Screamin Eagle II slip-ons that they discontinued a few years ago and the new Screamin Eagle Street Performance slip-ons Harley now has.

I have a 2009 Sportster 1200L with the stage I SE air filter kit and the SEII slip-ons.

Thanks in advance!

Personally,
I just installed a new set of S/E Street Performance Touring slip-on mufflers (with Revolver tips) on my 2008 Ultra because they sound better than the older version. They are 4" in diameter, have a nice deep rumble, and do a nice job on performance. I installed the V & H Fuelpak and the Arlen Ness Big Sucker kits as well. Very happy. Just the right sound for me. Not too loud for LONG trips, but much better than the stock mufflers were.

ive had both and ive had both sportys and now a softail and imo se2's are much louder, and perform better than the new performance mufflers imo..
i just finished removing the baffles and modding them.what a difference both in sound and performance..not as loud as drag pipes or v&h short shots but sounds very good with more bottom end torque and so far ive seen no hp loss when riding just gains ..the baffles retain enough back presure to make hp but open enough to get the harley sound we all know and want.
so heres the deal with the performance slip ons they have 18-5/16" holes in the baffles thats half the area of the 1-7/8" head pipe feeding it. you do the math 100% going in but only 50% coming out..i added 18 more and tossed the glass wadding.
update: just got in from the shop took my brothers SE2's off his 2003 sportster and removed the baffles there is no glasspack inside and the tube that is completely closed off on my pipes is open about 10% allowing a small amout straight through the pipe, and there is 25-5/16" holes ..this is obviously why they were deemed illegal by the epa..

It's foolish to spend the money Harley charges for mufflers and then butcher them. Buy some aftermarket mufflers with stainless steel baffles from a name brand company like Kerker or Cycle Shack that are engineered to improve performance.

correct but if you already have them as i do then its just as foolish to spend money when a simple mod will do

maybe not, if you get an out of service because of the noise level and are required to have it reinspected, the stockers you kept when you bought the after market would be cheaper.
just thinking
