Default Manifold absolute pressure sensor (map)

Has anybody removed the (map) system of their bike and what happened, or is this something you can not get rid of for the performance of the bike

Since the AFR and timing tables are a function of the MAP sensor, I would assume your bike would be totally hosed.

You cannot remove this sensor.
Your bike would throw codes and go into default mode
Your bike would not run at the correct afr
Your bike would not use the correct spark table
Your bike would not know the correct altitude at key on (MAP sensor does this at key on)
Just out of curiosity - why were you thinking of this?

I got the idea, customising the bike trying to get rid of unnecessary crap will do it another way . THANKS

Kraza, man, go to any one of many sights on the www and learn about FI. There is NOTHING you can take off or modify on a stock motor except the air cleaner and exhaust on your motor. Then you MUST have your ECM reprogrammed by the dealer.
