Default 86 Sporty leaking fuel from carb

I went for a ride the other day and forgot to turn on the petcock. My bike stalled and when I turned the petcock on it starts leaking from what seems to be a relief valve on the bottom of the Carb. I tapped on it hoping it was just a stuck float but its still stuck.

Any advise?

It is a stuck float bro even tapping on it wont knock in, if you could shake it that would do it.
try taking off the float bowl cover itself.
Good luck

You more than likely have disloged some dirt into the carb. Take the float bowl off and clean it. Also remove the float and blow air into the elbow on the carb to clear any dirt out.

I took the carb to a shop to have it rebuilt, the guy suggested I get a new one. He said that the last person to rebuild this one effed it up pretty good. There's JB weld holding stuff together in there. So I got and S&S on the way
