Default K&N Filter Questions!

I was just given a buddies old K&N air filter. It needed to be cleaned. SO I did the usual procedure. THe can says to let the thing air dry. but it doesn't say how long that should take and seeing as though it is kind of hard to tell if the thing is dry or not????? anyone got any ideas on how long it should take if sitting inside a room temp house, how long this should take?

Also the filter is better than the one in the bike....will i need to get the ECM changed?

Default RE: K&N Filter Questions!

I leave mine outside in the sun light, dries out in a few hours.Inside will take longer, maybe all day or night?Place it in front of a fan.
The filter will not absorb the oil too good when wet.
I also run a K&N air filter on my Dodge Ram 2500,When I service the filter I have a OEM filter as a back up.
