Scott, just for the hell of it seeing as how you run a shop that does that kind of work, what would it cost for the cams and head re-surfacing and any other parts needed for that job? Just wondering. Also I happened to talk to 2 people today that told me my engine would not blow up from runnin it with the leaky base gasket???? I dont trust that....what do ya think??

I think Scott would agree....it won't hurt anything....just make a little mess. A lot of them weep until they get bad enough to have to be changed.

The folks that told you that your engine will not blow up, are correct.
It'll make more, and more, of a mess, until you will not want to ride it.
The cost on the parts, for the power upgrade, to include Bob Wood W-6 cam, S&S pushrod kit, cam bearing, cam cover gasket, and cylinder head cc/surface, is 645.00. OE harley lifters can be had at your local dealer, believe they retail at 198.00, which are stocking items here.
