I had the stage 1 done before delivery too, and while I can't compare stock to what I have (the closest I can is the stock Wide Glide I rented last year and the year before - she pulls and sounds WAY better), she sure does run like a bat out of hell, and sounds AWESOME, so I am a happy Clam!

Cheers!

Is there a list of what the "stages" are. I have heard of stage I, II, and III. What does this involve?

This is my 2nd Harley and on both i had the stage one done before delivery so i've never owned a stock bike. I've riden a stock bike and it's a huge difference. The stage one a must have and the first thing one should do to their bike in my opinion.

Just started saving for a stage one. Been looking at pipes and muffs haven't decided on anything yet. But the SE air filter may work.

I had the Stage 1 and Vance and Hines pipes put on my 05 Road King Classic before I picked it up. Naturally I rode it home so when I went back to the dealer a few days later to pick up the stock pipes and air cleaner they gave me the pipes but acted a bit funny about the air cleaner saying that they just threw it away.

QUESTION:

As I never rode a RK and don't know how to compare it to one without a Stage 1, I am curious to know if they actually did it. Does anyone know the part # for the air cleaner for a S1 on a 05 RK classic (EFI) or another way I can check to make sure I got what I paid for? I am getting a lot of deceleration "popping" BTW.

Thanks

You can tell (if they did stage1) if you can see a space on the backside of the cleaner.
