stock induction module or 58mm ???
what results would I expect?? if I go against the recomendations to use a 58mm induction manifold/injectors..blah blah blah and use the stocker for a high compresion 103 build?
My thoughts are ,dont want to lose cruise control, heard it gives less leg room on the right side, might cause some bogging although this is desighned for the 58mm so not shure bout that.
Is all im going to lose is that last few hp?...at high rpm range...
Should or can i replace injectors in the stock assembly? maybe a compromise solution?
Anyone have any experiences ?
thanks!!!
(I posted in touring section too)

With the big 58mm
First, need to have a pretty much built up set of heads. All in the heads or wasting your money. Heads must match because the 58 fits the bigger SE intake openings.
Then need to be able to tune it.
I have one and you can make it do what you want but it is in the tuning after the engine is made to use it.
Stick out about an inch further. I don't notice it on my 08 fatboy.
Most of my tuning thoughts went back to a 77 corvett I put a, build up, big block in. Can be done for those who know Chevy didn't do that in 77. but did till 74. Fits.
anyway I put a Holly 850 double pumper on it. all in the tuning. Great big shooters does it.
So look at Accel Enrichment first to get lower RPM driveablily.
I use a TTS Mastertune and since the Woods 400 am still tuning to get right.
Unless you have good idea how to do this better know of a real good tuner cause you will have to hire this done. I would start at the higest level cause if not you will be unhappy and will all have to be redone.
I also got the 4.9 injectors but am thinking about the 5.3's.
Never ends you know.
bottom line is more that likely the 50mm will do fine.

thanks you
not shure what the stock size that is on it is? 2007 flh
yes the heads are for 58mm so i geuss from your reply there is no way i can leave the stock on any way..easily? unless the induction unit(stock) fits the 58mm manifold? guess i will have to eye ball it.
that sounds like it takes up a lot of room on right side but do use the extensions so could live with that, the cruise being lost on this set up could suck. ive seen aftermarket mikuni adaptors for cruise but no ideas how i could rig cruise on this??? need some american engenouity

The stock is 46 mm. This can be cleaned up inside to flow pretty much what you might need.
I don't know about cruise or DBW but these things (58mm) come at least two ways from SE. One way is the cable and the only one I have fooled with. Look it up in the catalog.
Also the 50mm probably does also. It is stock on the SEHD bikes from HD.
Unless your engine is modified you will never notice a help from the 58mm and buy yourself a lot of unnecessary trouble in the bargine.

im going to have to look at it when it gets here and see how it fits.se catalog is clear but have to see for shure. see to if i can modify to except cruise or live with out it and do my research, patients ect. Ive gottin mostly good feed back about the build im doing excet from people that are in someone's pocket book of cource. The build is half the fun.
searchin the web and was even going to call some manufactorers posabley? just not a lot of info on this sort of stepping off the beatin path a little.(07 cable version non compatable with cruise)
