I have the Supertrapp supermeg (black). Love the looks of the pipe but I do miss the sound of my V&H straightshots.

The performance factor is more important for me though and there is a very noticable improvement with the supermeg over the V&H - both seat of the pants and dyno.

(Wife hates the looks and sound of the supertrapp)

I just switched from V&H Sideshots w/BCT QQ baffles to a Supermeg 2-1, My bike lost its badass sound but gained a lot of power, it does have a nice rumble though. I might try the open cap after a while but it's running so good I kinda don't feel like messing with it right now.

Thunderheader or a bassani 2-1 will give you that deep bass tone that you want. The D&D won't give you that sound you're looking for. I run the D&D Fatcat with a standard baffle and it is nowhere near the sound of the Thunderheader's that I've ran on my previous bikes. If the D&D sounded like the Thunderheader, then I'd be in heaven.

My D&D with the standard baffle has a really raspy and tinny sound. It sounds great at idle, but it's just flat out loud and sounds like a truck with glass packs when going down the road...LOL.

I found this with a propipe on my 113 inch roadglide, loved the sound at idle but the sound at cruise and high rpm was sickening ,went back to my stock headpipe with fullsac 2 inch recores and could not be happier ,I lost some power but I can listen to these all day long ,they sing a sweet tune

No offense fellas, but personally I can't stand the look of the 2-1s that everyone raves about. It took me a year to finally settle on the ones I have on it now. I'm going to give the Rinehart crossbacks a try.

No offense taken, I really like the look of my RB 2-1 and think that system, Paul Yaffe, you have is less than attractive to me. That's why they make many different types.

If that set up is like supertrap, be sure to take the right amount of disks off when you run open end.

+1 on the T'header; performs, has a unique sound, tad on the loud side but nice sound.

More short pipes, you most likely won't like the sound either but they look purdy!
