Best solution for throttle body upgrade? Is it worth it?
Looking for advise on throttle bodies. I know what to do with carbs but am clueless when it comes to the throttle bodies. So far I have found the zippers model and the screamin eagle. this is going on an 02 fat boy that's getting some head work, 95 inch and a set of woods bump sticks. tw6hg's most likely.
Are there other alternatives? i know BC Gerolomy works them over. I'm sure other shops do as well.. the big question is what kind of gains can you expect from upgrading the throttle body. basically will the $500.00 or so be well spent other places? Are upgraded injectors necessary? screamin eagle comes with them, zippers just takes you r stock ones.
anyone with experience with these?

is ir worth it imo no ..
will you see a 2-3 hptq on a dyno sheet yes
will you feel it no
i think why most people say they feel it is because ysually they didi a build with heads, cams and a good tune . so they really cannot say its worth it.
your stock t/b is good for up to 120 hp/tq.
imo i dont think your heads will out flow the t/b
for the coin its not worth to get your stock one bored if you want a bigger t/b then get a hpi.
thats if you want a bigger t/b.
if you just change out the injectors you will see comparable results also.
