V&H quiet baffles

Had bss and installed the q baffles. Not a big deal. Just line up the wholes before you start to slide them in. Wrap the fiber glass material with ss wire first. Otherwise they are very hard to remove, and lots of us have damaged them when trying to remove them.
Lots of people love the q baffles. I can honestly say it was a waste of money for me. The bike did sound better, deeper, not much quieter though. What I disliked was, the bike ran worse when riding/accelerating over ~3500 rpm's. They tend to choke the bike - VH will also tell you this.

The fiberglass wrapping is a joke!! i think the real benifit of the baffles is the different design. The closed end cap helps with back pressures, if you need to you can drill the cap a bit to allow a bit more flow. just a thought but my 05 fxsts carb bike ran just fine with them in and a 3/8s hole drilled in the cap. very easy job to do!
