New Lifters - Oil Pre-Fill??????
I am trying a different set of High-Lift lifters in my TC 96.
I'm sure there's more than one way to pre-oil lifters. So, I am posing this question to the professionals out there: What is the best method of pre-filling lifters with oil??
I've heard of just letting them bathe and oil overnight. I've heard of injecting oil into the side hole until oil oozes from the top of the lifter.
What works or doesn't work, guys?? Do you even pre-oil them??
Thanks,
Jim

Don't know if this is the best way but when I did mine, I put them in a container and covered them with the type of oil I normally run. First day they were on their side with the little hole pointing up. The second day, I stood them on end. They were still covered over the top with oil. They stayed like that for a couple of days until I was ready to install them. They were nice and quiet when I started the bike. Again, I don't know if that is the best way but it worked for me. YMMV

A little trick - put lifters standing upright in a small cup/butter tub with the oil just above the side oil holes. Cup your hand around the top of the lifter and with your other hand, start your shop vac and put it to the top of your hand on the lifter to create suction to the top of the lifter. It will fill it in a heartbeat, though a little messy.
