Scott, have you had any experience with this cam as a bolt in to the later 96" motors with stock heads and stock compression? with or without the adv key....

What are your thoughts on the 408-44 mag + 4* adv in a stock compression bike???

The ""44 Magnum" is a very powerful cam, and the 4* advance will help, but needs more compression, to effectively show it's entire worth.
IF you are heading to a 103-107" later, with a good set of heads, then the 44 Mag is your man, hands down.

Does anyone out there have these cams or tried them before? I have a set in my 2000 FXDX with the 4 degree advance gear. I have tried searching everywhere on the net to see what kind of numbers I should expect. I have a 88", stock carb., S.E highflow, 2into1 FatCat with the cams and I'm getting 78 hp and 88 tq SAE. I'd like to see what these cams do with some compression. With all the dyno charts on Bobby Wood's site he doesn't have one with these cams.

That's alot of cam for your motor even with the 4 degree advancer.You need headwork & a serious bump in comp to make that cam shine.Probably runs like a pig down low???? Your numbers are probably in line for a stock motor with stock comp.Call Bob & see what he says!!! Send the heads to Baisley, & raise the comp.I'll bet you she'll run like a rapped ape then!!!!
Bob will tell you to buy them. One thing for Scott he will tell you right up front that cam needs 10.5 comp.. an heads...
