Default Looking for new headpipes

OK. I think I am going to give in and swap out the head pipes on my ride (FLHXi).

I have the 113 inch upgrade (with just about all the SE parts available) and am currently running V&H ovals on stock head pipes.

I want to go true dual. I am looking for black ceramic large diameter stepped pipes with O2 sensors in each pipe.

I am not looking to wake the dead. I ride a lot, and due to interesting youth experiences am tone deaf at certain frequencies. This is the reason I kept the stock head pipes and the reason I am trying to keep it at a sane noise level.

The reason I am going to swap is to get a better balanced sound and so my SO's feet won't melt on the next long ride we go on. (mostly the later)

So any input would greatly be appreciated.

Thanks,
RCA

V+H makes a very reasonable set of headpipes that converts to true duals and you can run your existing mufflers. Cheap solution that will do exactly what you want to do.

Are the V&H's stepped pipes?

Do they have O2 sensor bungs on both pipes?

I see they are very popular, but on all of my reading I have not seen any real tech specs on them.

Thanks,
RCA

the ones my friend got last year didn't have bungs. They were only head pipes with shields - the back half of the HD system (mufflers) bolted right on. Kept his wife's leg cooler/
