The SE Back plate rest against the heads before fitting over and against the throttle body; only way I can make work is to use 2 gaskets behind the plate.

Anyone else have this problem or seen or heard of this?

This is on a 06 95 build.

 

No, but a 103 kit comes with it's own backing plate... I don't remeber if a 95(6?) kit does or not.

If the backing plate seals with two gaskets, well, then, it shouldn't make any difference.

Also seen the opposite - not enough room for a gasket.
