Default My Woods 7H with Dyno...09 Train

So I finally got my Train back from the dealer doing the Dyno.

I went with Hillside's recommendation for my riding style including:

Woods 7H
4 degree advance gear
S&S Adj Pushrods

I have a basic Stage 1 with SE Heavy breather, SEST, and VH Big Radius 2-2 pipes. First off, I know my pipes are not big power pipes. That, and the fact that I put some BCT baffles in there to cut out the "jake brake".

Well, after installing these cams, its like I'm running without any baffles at all!

Holy crap is it loud! I can't imagine what a nice power pipe would do... maybe break 100TQ?

The best part of it though is that the bike sounds like its having a heart attack at idle! It's sic and music to my ears. Now, I know why people get hooked on power. Can't wait for a nice build (maybe Scott's 107) over next winter.

Before cams w/dyno tune: 70.44HP/86.03TQ SAE

AFTER w/ tune: 88.85HP/96.43TQ SAE

Took the guy 4 hours to do this, I don't know if that's a good thing or not...

4 hrs to get to that point? Looks like he only made 13 pulls (if I'm reading this correctly). And the afr is a little to up and down for my liking. But, I'm only a casual observer, and not a professional tuner.

Maybe he had a lunch break in between. I'm just going off what they told me of course. I really don't know much about reading the finer points of these charts anyway.

I'm more impressed the with power, feel, and choice of the cams I put in mainly.

18hp & 10tq from just cams looks pretty good. Bet it's a blast to ride. I'm jealous, I haven't ridden in about 2 monthes now. Still waiting to get my motor back from Scott. Congrats on your ride.

As long as you're happy is all that matters!

If you are going to go with Scott and Hillside build, go for the 117". You will never have that feeliing of going bigger.

Yea, I know those pipes with the baffles removed are loud. I'm always stuck on the right side of everyone or in the back. They can't handle the sweet sound. But when we get screwing around they know not to get into my way.

Enjoy

It looks good, I think a good pipe will bust the 100 mark. I gave up on my V&H's w/BCT's and ordered the Supermeg. The V&H were ok for a stage1 but the added overlap of good cams really needs a good exhaust to work right. I just did a dyno and will be doing another soon after the T-Max learns the new pipe, I'll post the difference.

117...I believe you on not needing to go bigger! I'm definitely going to go will Scott when I pull the trigger. Big jump from 96" to his 107", let alone 117. I think I'm getting hooked already.

Yea, if I think I'm gonna have to pop for a better set of pipes. Sound is cool but the power bug is a game changer. Looks like I have some reading to do on some 2-1 setups (Power, Looks, Sound...in that order)

nice gains, do you have to install high lift valve springs with those cams?
