Cam swap on 30k mile motor?
I am looking to do a cam swap on my 80" evo. It has the normal bolt ons and the next step is the cam. My only concern is the miles on it. Currently it has just over 30k and am wondering if that too many for the swap or would it be better to wait and just rebuild completely? The motor doesn't use any oil, runs great and has never been rebuilt.

Use the "B" lifter. If the cams have the same base circle and no head work, thinner head gaskets, etc., you can use stock pushrods but will have to drop them in from the top. In other words, rocker covers have to come off and rocker supports loosened up. The alternative, plus another $135-$150 are adjustable pushrod (new tubes and seals). Use bolt cutters to cut/remove the stock pushods and replace with adjustables.
